It is the council that decides how many refugees to come.
Last decision is that Karmøy will accept 90 refugees over three years. (Until a new council)
Refugees come mostly from Africa. The course due to the difficult life situation it is in many African countries.
It's about both poverty, war and dictatorship.
The refugees come either as asylum seekers by state reception or directly from refugee camps around the world.
We work with: to provide a place to stay in a proper manner. In addition, we work with integration into school, work and society.
Adult Education provides education in Norwegian and social studies.
It is a very exciting job to get to know people from all over the world!
